Gypsy

My last layout I did as Trunk Designer of the Month over at Paper Trunk....as soon as I got these papers in the mail, they just screamed heritage to me.....so I couldn't end the month without doing at least one....the pic is of my mom with her parents and brother.

Two Toots!

Well, I'm excited to announce I am now on the Inspiration Group at a new site Scrappin' D'Amour....I am so inspired because it is a site devoted to the vintage and shabby chic...which has a special place in my heart. Please stop by and check us out as we grow.....and join up and share your vintage/shabby creations with us. And don't forget to check out the Boutique.....it has some awesome stuff in there that I have never seen anywhere else....and lots of new stuff on the way...even if you don't scrap vintage, you'll find some little embellishment, stamp, or paper you want in there.

And I got another card picked up for the upcoming Scrapbook Trends Wedding Idea Book...which I'm excited about...I guess my card making skills are improving.

Thanks for sharing in my excitement!

My Week 5 entry....

for the Summer Circle Challenge.....our challenge this week was to use only handmade patterned paper and make at least one homemade embellishment....I really struggled this week....but here is what I finally came up with....I sponge painted the blue cardstock to make clouds...I also sponge painted the wave and sun. My homemade embellishments are the beach balls used as letters...thanks for looking.

It's coming to an end...

my summer that is. One week from today I am officially back to work. So I thought today I would list my top 10 favorites from this summer.....cause it has been a great one.

1. Swimming on the lake at Big Cedar-really the whole trip was heavenly....but I will never forget how much fun Jose had jumping off the back of that pontoon boat.
2. cuddling up with my hubby and watching "girlie" movies from Netflix....thank you, honey
3. jammie days
4. scrapping into the wee hours
5. being able to run my errands and do all my chores during the day, so that my evenings are free to play
6. Wii- time as Jose calls it
7. watching Jose learn to swim and hold his breath under the water
8. Reading The Wedding- I absolutely loved that book!!!
9. getting back to cooking that I don't have time to do during the school year- and having dinner ready when Jose comes home
10. just having lots of time to spend doing whatever we want, whenever we want to do it with my 2 boys.

What about you? How has your summer been?

Moment in Time

Well, Rebecca over at ScrapFreak has challenged us to blog about ten things that are on my mind right this minute.....now I did just get up, but I'm sure there is already at least 10 things swirling through my brain.

7:00 AM
1. I need to get dressed and ready to go to Walmart.
2. I want to watch my movie today.
3. I don't want to cook dinner.
4. My coffee is too hot.
5. I could go back to bed.
6. I need to pick DT Layout of the Day at the Shack.
7. I need to add mailing envelopes to my Walmart list.
8. I have to get two layouts done today.
9. I don't know where to start on my school days tag album I have to make for a newsletter.
10. I hope today is just relaxing, and I get to scrap and do nothing.

Toot! Toot!

I am so excited....I just got an email requesting a New Year's card I made with last month's TS kit for publication in Cards Magazine......I'm excited more so because I am so not a card maker....but I worked really hard on this one.

Thursday, August 2, 2007

Finally...August is here.

I've been waiting for August to get here....because I've been busy and am looking forward to a great month ahead. Here's a little of what I have been up to.

1. My term at ScrapLovers officially starts this month....look for some layouts in the coming weeks for that.
2. It's my last month on the DT over at the Shack...which makes me sad....it really has been a wonderful 6 months....it was like working with the Dream Team...and this month Imagination Project generously donated lots of their Office line for us to work with....and boy was that right up my alley. Here's my projects I revealed yesterday.

Today, Tomorrow, Someday

Hot Stuff Mini Steno Book

Favorite Night of the Week

Valentine's Day card

3. Treasured Scrapbooking had an awesome kit this month as well....full of lots of blues and browns....one of my favorite color combos ever....here's my first layout I revealed with this kit...look for more to come later in the month.

Burst of Love

4. I got the honor of working with one of Becky Fleck's awesome PageMaps sketches for the August newsletter. Here's a link to all of the August sketches and here's my layout I submitted- pictures of Jose playing on the playground at Big Cedar Resort.

Play is super fun!

5. I'm the Guest Booya Girl this month over at Busy Bee Scrapbooking and very excited to reveal my layouts in a few weeks....so once again check back for more later.

6. I completed a layout with the August sketch over at My Sketch World.

Be sure and check out the contest Lucy is running this month.

7. I have one of my favorite layouts of my dear hubby featured in ScrapStreet's ezine this month.

8. And last, but certainly not least, I'm featured on the Paper Trunk blog and my first layout I did with the Batik and Gigi paper lines is up...let me just say, this paper's texture is divine and the papers are so elegant....and the 12x12 border stamps are awesome.

Hand in Hand

Thanks to everyone for all of these wonderful opportunities...I'm having a blast scrapping my little heart out!
